Outreach Activities. For the past 13 years
we have sponsored an annual conference, Expanding Your Horizons
in Science and Mathematics, that introduces 600 middle-school
girls to women with careers in math and science and provides
hands-on learning about those careers. For more information,
visit our Expanding Your Horizons
Home Page.
Scholarships. We support the national AAUW
Educational Foundation, which awarded $4 million in fellowships,
grants, and awards during the 2002-2003 academic year. We
also support the Legal Advocacy Fund, which is the largest
legal fund focused solely on sex discrimination in higher
education. Locally our Baker/Telfer Scholarship is awarded
annually to three graduating senior girls who plan to pursue
a career in math or science. Learn
